Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung has affirmed
that with its various advantages and potential, the city is willing to offer all
possible support to Moroccan investors to access the Vietnamese market.
Chung made the
confirmation during a meeting with Moroccan Ambassador to Vietnam Azzeddine
Ferhane in Hanoi on June 28.
The city’s leader
approved the ambassador’s proposal to upgrade the Morocco Gate in Tan
commune in the outlying district of Ba Vi on the occasion of the 56th
anniversary of bilateral Vietnam-Morocco diplomatic ties, considering it
symbol of close ties between the two countries.
Ferhane, for his
part, said the two nations boast potential for cooperation in various fields as
Vietnam is a gateway to ASEAN while Morocco is a gateway to Africa.
As the two
capitals share a range of similarities, the ambassador hoped that Hanoi and
Rabat could become twin cities in order to promote comprehensive relations.-VNA
