Resolution on Hanoi’s development reviewed

of the Hanoi municipal Party Committee Hoang Trung Hai gave a number of
directions during a conference held in Hanoi on April 7 to review the five-year
implementation of the 11th Politburo’s Resolution on orientations
and tasks for the capital city’s 2011-2020 development.
Over the past five years, Hanoi’s
economy has expanded with improved competitiveness and quality growth. The
capital city has led the country in the construction of new-style rural areas.

Party Committee Nguyen Huy Viet urged the municipal authorities to take caution
when allowing the construction of high-rise buildings in the inner city because
traffic congestion is growing during peak hours.

apartment buildings into cultural houses, schools and parking areas.

outlying Dan Phuong district Party Committee Nguyen Tat Thang raised concern

Concluding the event, Hai
credited the resolution with promoting the city’s socio-economic development,
national defence-security, social security and safety.
At the same time, the business
community still complain about the business environment in the city, he said,
urging the entire political system to take synchronous actions to issue
mechanisms and policies conducive to business development and investment.
