Hanoi University of Medicine

1. Foundation Date: Hanoi University of Medicine was established in 1902.

2. Mandate: to provide higher education in medicine, traditional medicine, public health, nursing, medical technique, maxio-odontoly... through its bachelor training program and medical doctor training program focusing on the above fields.

In the pursuance of academic excellence and relevance in teaching, research and extension, HMU is strongly willing to develop collaboration with foreign universities and international organizations in over 20 countries (Laos, Cambodia, The Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Japan, Korea, Ukraine, France, Holland, England, Sweden, Austria, Switzerland, Rumania, USA, Canada, Australia, etc.)

International organizations: WHO, UNDP, FAO, REI, CMB, Ford Foundation, WONCA, Sasakawa, etc.

The co-operation activities are focused on:

- Exchange of faculty staff and students (FFI);

- Exchange of academic information and materials;

- Develop the quality of training in undergraduates and postgraduates (SIDA);
