Artists to rouse muse for capital’s birthday

Union of Vietnam Literature and Arts Association members have been encouraged to compose literature and art works to help celebrate the Thang Long – Hanoi 1,000 anniversary in October next year.     
       
A collection of as many as 1,000 poems will be published soon while the Vietnam Cinema Association will work quickly on the feature film, Thai Su Tran Thu Do (Great Tutor Tran Thu Do), and the cartoon, Nguoi Con Cua Rong (Dragon’s Son).    
       
The Vietnam Musicians’ Association will launched a programme to compose songs and pieces of music, as well as organise a special composing camp for musicians to compose songs, a symphony and chamber and chorus pieces on the theme of 1,000 year-old Thang Long – Hanoi.    
       
The Vietnam Artistic Photographers Association plans to display 1,000 artful documentary photos on the ancient capital and organise an exhibition of international photographers in the city.    
       
The Literature and Arts Association of the Vietnam’s Ethnic Minority Groups will publish a prose collection, Pac Bo – Tan Trao – Hanoi, featuring Hanoi city by ethnic writers.    
       
The Vietnam Stage Artists Association plans to work with relevant agencies on activities celebrating the 1,000-year    capital between October 1 and 10, 2010./.
